Before you start a Roleplay of your own:
Make sure you include a note at the top or your thread's first post, saying what kind of creatures will be allowed in your RP. Some people like to play in realistic RPs (where the creatures are of normal coat colors, real species)... while others like fantasy themed RPs (where creatures are of made up species, have unrealistic coat colors, powers, etc.). Make sure to specify which one you would like to RP in your thread.
Before you join a pre-existing roleplay:
Check the first post in the thead to see what is allowed in that RP. If that information isn't there, PM the person who started the RP to see what they allow in their thread.
